The Vision

Initially we wanted to help people who built websites with Content Management Systems, to be able to use their already existing platform to do their Assets Maintenance Management in the Cloud without missing out anything. Since what they already have is same as what many SAAS companies also have - the only difference being the software to run. And now  that software is Julio CMMS. But then even if you did not build your website with Joomla, you can drop Joomla on a subfolder or subdomain on the hosted account, and drop Julio CMMS into Joomla. With that you automatically have your own online CMMS Service for your use.

It does not have to be hosted somewhere on the internet. You can for example install WAMP/LAMP/MAMP on your local computer and use it. Drop Joomla on the local server folder and drop Julio CMMS into Joomla; and you are good to go!

The Progress

To test JulioCMMS we threw an imaginary equipment with 6 million parts at it; it performed excellently well. We were initially thinking of small to medium scale companies as our target, and not loading it with tonnes  and tonnes of features they will never use.  But then 6 million parts is same as Boeing 747 the monster of the Boeing airplanes. And you have the source codes! Your team (if not we) can make it do anything you desire. So it will pay you to have it no matter your size. You can even use it as a starting point for your own Internal Custom Software which only you have a copy of. It is the cheapest software that can do the same thing because we got Joomla for free.  Julio CMMS is so very unique. You will love it.

What Next

You've heard our story. The challenge is trying to solve the problem of everybody within our target range precisely and making the solution easy to use, and not inconvenience them with lots of stuff they may never need. That's why for example instead of adding 'location type=city' to locations form we add another layer where you are to define the location types. With that if your operations span multiple cities, you can add 'city' as a location type. And if your operations are not in multiple cities, then you wouldn't have to see option 'city' there; you define the options. Just to give you an idea. We've tried to give it our best shot. We have a language layer in Julio CMMS and could help translate it into your  language of choice. Please let us know in what language you would want to have it. We may still get it into that language later but by participating, we give yours priority attention. If you want to sell Julio CMMS in a prticular language, tell us too. (You get the 25% Commission on any sales from you).
